  Preparing a look for the Cannes red carpet is both exhilarating and incredibly demanding, as Bhaavya Roy knows all too well. One of the biggest challenges she faces is working within tight timelines. “Cannes is a dream platform, but the schedule can be ruthless,” Bhaavya explains. From finalizing designs to sourcing the right fabrics — sometimes from across continents — every detail has to be executed with precision under strict deadlines. Another significant challenge is managing fittings, especially when celebrities are constantly traveling or working on film sets. “Coordinating fittings across time zones becomes a logistical puzzle,” says Bhaavya. Often, she has only one or two in-person sessions to perfect the garment before it’s shipped to France.
